Hey, I recently purchased a belkin n52te gamepad, having seen a friend use his on his Macbook Pro, I assumed my newer and more advanced iMac would be able to handle it, but after installing it and realising that the program refused to be recognized by the software and this not letting me map any of the keys to anything other than a default it rendered the device mostly useless. After struggling for a few hours attempting to find a cause for this, I hit the internet and found that diving into the package contents and extracting the files you need is the way to go. So I extracted away and did everything I needed to do, but with no success, utterly frustrated I decided to uninstall the software. I feel I may have uninstalled the software using a program which was outside the main directory for the software, issue number one. After uninstalling and all that jazz, I attempted to reboot and use the CD to try and install again, only to find the message 'This software cannot be installed because a new version already exsists on this disk '. After sweat and tears of drudging through the finder to try and find some scrap of software which could be the reason of this, I've had no luck, and now find myself with a useless gamepad and no way of installing the software, issue number two. Everything I used was already on the disk, no external software was downloaded or anything, I've tried everything I can think of to get the software back up and running but with no success.
If anyone can provide me with a way to just install the software again, I would be most appreciative. With thanks - Mr G P.S: I'm not sure if it was the software or the hardware, but after installing the software and plugging the gamepad in, my computer asked me to choose a disk to boot from at start up, whilst only giving me the option of my Macintosh HD.
